Here we go. In 12 hours I will leave for Bangalore, India. About an 8000 mile journey. What am I most excited about?
Getting to live and see the Kingdom of God happen for three straight weeks, and getting to hang out with the long term team there that does that on a daily basis. I want their faith for the impossible and culture of freedom and honor to rub off on me big time!
Then, reverse. I'll be getting to the airport at 1am to fly through Qatar, then Greece, then arrive in Tirane, Albania for another three weeks. Can you see the cool airplane graphic drawing a zigzag of red lines across an animated globe? I'll be meeting my family and some revivalists from Austin, along with a local pastor named Genti and the wonderful Chris and Fjorela (and their son!).
I'll be posting God stories as I get a chance to jump on the internet. Get ready!
I want to learn to love during the next month and a half. Among other things. In Luke 10, Jesus sends out the disciples to release the Kingdom. He tells them not to bring much extra stuff on the journey. It doesn't say why. I want to learn how to let go of little details and baggage, and just have one thing to offer: the Holy Spirit.
